Moses felt inadequate for God's calling, yet God equipped him step by step. Discover how to respond when God asks you to step into roles you feel unprepared for.
Moses was tending sheep on the backside of the desert when the ordinary became extraordinary. A bush burned but was not consumed. When he turned aside to investigate, God called his name—not once, but twice, as if to ensure his attention was fully captured.
"I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt," God declared. "I have come down to rescue them... and I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt." Moses' response was immediate and honest: "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh?"
Moses offered every excuse he could think of: He wasn't qualified. The people wouldn't believe him. He wasn't eloquent. But God had an answer for every objection. "I will be with you," He promised. "I will teach you what to say." When Moses asked for God's name, the reply was profound: "I AM WHO I AM."
The burning bush wasn't just about Moses' calling—it was about God's character. The God who calls is the God who equips. The God who sends is the God who sustains. Moses learned that qualification comes not from our capabilities but from God's commitment to fulfill His purposes through us.

"Holy God, like Moses, I often feel unqualified for what You're calling me to do. Help me to remember that You are the great I AM, and Your presence with me is all the qualification I need. Give me courage to step into Your calling, trusting that You will equip me for every task. In Jesus' name, Amen."
